The Letter Carriers Food Drive THANK YOU!!!
THANK YOU CAPITOL CITY! You came out and showed your support and helped Stamp out Hunger! With your help the Central Illinois Foodbank received just under 43,000 pounds of food from The Letter Carriers Food Drive! ABE-FM colected at the Schnuck's in Montvale! Thanks for all your support!

Be apart of something big with 93.9 ABE-FM! ABE is helping the Letter Carriers with a NATIONWIDE Food Drive. This is the largest Food Drive in the Nation. Help us Stamp Out Hunger with this great cause! This Saturday is the big day and it is very easy! On Saturday May 10th just leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, such as, canned soup, canned veggies, pasta, rice, or cereal next to your mailbox prior to your regular delivery.
Stop by and donate at the Central Illinois Food Bank or the West Side Post Office down off of Wabash. ABE will be at the Schnucks in Montvale where you can purchase pre-packaged bags for the Letter Carrier Food Drive.
So be apart of the nation's largest food drive on Saturday May 10th!

It has begun, Mom of the Week 2008! Is your mom special? Has she done wonderful things for you over the years? Do you want to pay her back? Starting now through May 2nd you can do just that! Email ABE a letter 100 words or less telling us why YOUR Mom deserves to be the Mom of the Week!

Minor League Baseball Back in Springfield
The Springfield Sliders kick off their inaugural season Thursday June 5th at Robin Roberts Stadium at Lanphier Park! The game kicks off at 7:05 and will feature $1 sodas and beers.
